How will I get my login credentials?

Account setup requires your initial login credentials. You must get an email after completing the enrollment process including your login credentials (as shown below).

After the implementation, whenever you log in to your student portal from a new device or new web browser, you will have to authenticate your login through the authentication method you have set up after entering your login credentials.

It now required students to complete two steps to log in,

  1. Enter your username and password.
  2. Authenticate your account.

  2. On the login page, enter the login credentials that you received through email.
  3. You will see more information required screen then you will have to set up the Multi Fator Authentication.
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. On the next page, click the “I want to set up a different method” link.
  6. On the next page, you can choose either the Phone method or the Authenticator App method.

Phone Authentication: Select the Phone option and enter your phone number. On the next page, verify your phone number through a security code sent to your phone.

App Authentication: If you select this option then first you will have to install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device. After that set up the app authentication with the help of the on-screen instructions.

Note: GCU recommends using the phone authentication as their technical support has limited support scope on the app authentication.

After completing the authentication method setup, whenever you log in to a new web browser or device, you will have to enter a security code after entering your username and password.

Account Recovery and troubleshooting

If you have already completed the authentication method set up then you can recover your account very easily. Please follow the below steps.

  • Visit the GCU portal and click the Student Access link.
  • Select the Forgot my Password button.
  • Enter your GCU email (if it isn’t entered automatically), complete the CAPTCHA below, and then click Next.
  • A screen will appear with options to reset your password. Select the appropriate header below for steps.
    • Email my alternate email
    • Text my mobile phone
    • Call my mobile phone
  • Choose any one option and complete the verification through a security code you will receive on your phone or through email.
  • After the verification, you can create a new password.

Halo Learn is the GCU new Learning Management System that is developed by Grand Canyon Education specifically for GCU students to fulfill the specific learning requirements of students.

How to Login to the GCU Halo Student Portal?

Students can log in to Halo LMS in two ways.
